The case measures approximately 10.25 inches in diameter across the back and is 3 inches deep. The inside is stamped "CHELSEA." The bezel is hinged and is fitted with glass. It locks closed with a key. The bezel swings open from the left, allowing one to access the dial.

The dial is brass and treated with a silvered finish. It measures approximately 8 inches in diameter. All of the dial information is stamped into the brass dial surface. The time ring is formatted with Roman-style hour numerals and a closed minute ring. A subsidiary seconds dial is positioned above the center arbor, and the rate adjustment is to the right of that. The number "1039120" is stamped below the hour VI. The Retailer's name and working location are stamped across the center field. This reads, "WYCKOFF & LLOYD Co. / SPRINGFIELD, MASS. / AMERICAN."

The Wyckoff & Lloyd Company was a Steam, hot water, heating, plumbing, and mill supplies company located at 35-37 Lyman Street, Springfield, MA, founded in 1906. Originally the Solvey-Wyckoff Company was formed in 1898. The new firm president was H. T. Wyckoff, and Henry Lloyd was treasurer. The business was one of the oldest in the city and built a solid reputation for good work and excellent materials.

The movement is of very good quality. It is spring wound and is designed to run for eight days. This is a timepiece. The escapement features a balance wheel. This allows this clock to be put in environments that at not stable. As a result, it will continue to run while being moved. The plates of this movement are circularly shaped. The back plate is die-stamped with the company information and the serial number "35605." According to this serial number, this clock was made in 1908.
