The Ansonia Clock Company of Ansonia, Connecticut, made this porcelain cased clock. This is a fine example, and it is in outstanding original condition. The porcelain case was made by the Royal Bonn factory and is signed on the back with their seal, Royal Bonn, Germany. The case has not been chipped, and the glazing has not been crazed. The brilliant coloring includes multiple shades of greens, yellows, oranges, reds, and blues. The dial is porcelain and measures five inches in diameter. The Clockmakers trademark, Arabic numerals, and the open escapement can be viewed in this location. The eight-day movement is brass and strikes each hour, and the half-hour on a wire gong mounted inside the case.
This clock was made circa 1904 and originally sold for $17.00. It is 14.5" tall and 13 wide.
