The Waterbury Clock Company's Springfield model. 222036.

The Waterbury Clock Company made this fine Springfield model wall clock. It remains in good original condition. The oak case retains its original dark stain finish, enhancing the striping of the wood grain. The pendulum bob, as well as the bezel, are brass. The painted dial is original and in excellent condition. The spring-powered movement is designed to run for eight days between windings. It is a time-and-strike design and strikes hourly, once each half-hour, on a coil gong mounted inside the case. The works are die-stamped by the Maker in script.

Two labels are pasted on the back of the case. The first label proclaims the clock Company that made it and the case model, "Springfield." The second label provides the clock operation instructions.

The dial is eight inches in diameter, and the case height is 40 inches long and 16.5 inches wide.

This eight-day clock was made circa 1910.
