William Gilbert Clock Company Winsted, CT. "Jet."

This unusual model is referred to as the “Jet.” The case wood is ebonized and is highlighted with Eastlake style designs. The movement is brass. It is designed to run for 30 hours on a full wind. It strikes the hour on a bell, striking the hour on the hour. The paper dial measures six inches across and is applied to a pan. The single glass door is decorated from the back. The condition of which is very good featuring two game birds in a water setting. A portion of the lower section is left open and allows one to see the motion of the very decorative pendulum bob. This clock stands 19 inches tall and was made circa 1885.
